A widescreen (16:9) HD tube TV— the display retro and early-HD gamers actually hunt for. The honest part, and it's priced in: it comes with no remote(the front-panel buttons all work, and any $8 universal “Panasonic TV” remote pairs in seconds), and the internal speakers don't work.

And it's an easy fix: the TV has RCA audio outputs, so you just feed the sound to any small amp or powered speakers. I run it into a little Class-D amp and honestly it sounds better that waythan any built-in tube speaker ever did. (There's even a set of direct speaker leads a previous owner wired in, if you'd rather drive passive speakers straight.) Bring your own sound — a soundbar, powered speakers, any cheap amp — and you've got a genuinely good-sounding retro battlestation.
