Vintage Murano Art Glass
$1001
A genuine piece of mid-century Italy. Hand-blown Murano art glass from Venice (circa 1950s–70s): a bullicante bowl — that gorgeous grid of controlled bubbles suspended right in the glass — with a fused figural duck perched on the rim and a beak flecked with gold aventurine, Murano's shimmering copper “goldstone.”
Deep smoke-to-amethyst casing that shifts color under light. Unsigned, in the style of the Cenedese / Seguso / Barbini workshops. One of a kind — when it's gone, it's gone.
1 On the price. Unsigned Murano is valued as decorative art, not by a maker's mark — so this is benchmarked against sold vintage Murano bullicante/ figural pieces of comparable technique, casing, and size (the Cenedese / Seguso / Barbini style range), with the small beak mark factored in. Priced to go home with someone who'll love it, not to chase an auction high — one of a kind, so no comp is exact.
