Out here, going local isn't the budget option. It's the one where your Apple gear gets a genuine expert who's a short drive away, not a stranger in a mall an hour off.

No sales pitch — here's what I actually tell people.
Free advice from someone who genuinely loves this stuff. Take it or leave it.
Buy the Mac mini. If you don't need a laptop, it's the best-value computer Apple makes — and it's not close. Quiet, fast, lasts for years.
Get AppleCare. Every time. I know it feels like an upsell. It pays for itself the first time a screen meets a floor.
Turn on tap-to-click. First thing I change on every Mac. I've run it so long I can't stand a default trackpad anymore.
Learn the trackpad gestures. Four-finger swipe up for Mission Control will change how you use your Mac. Five minutes, worth it.
Spotlight is your friend. Command + Space, start typing — open anything, do quick math, find a file. Stop digging through folders.
iPad? Depends who you are. For me it's a toy — but for the right person it's the perfect machine. If it's your main computer, the Magic Keyboard isn't optional. When in doubt, the iPad Air is the sweet spot.
iPhone storage comes down to iCloud. Use iCloud and you can go smaller. Don't, and you shoot a lot of photos? Size up.
You don't need a new iPhone every year. You just don't. Every few years is plenty — keep the money.
