Mid-century Murano glass

Murano duck bowl

An amethyst glass bowl with a ruffled rim and a figural duck fused to one side. The glass is bullicante: a grid of controlled air bubbles, pressed in with a spiked mold and sealed under a second layer of glass.

The beak is worked in gold aventurine, the copper-flecked glass that glitters when light hits it. The bowl is unsigned, so the workshop can be narrowed down but not named.
